What are minerals?

Minerals are elements like chromium, magnesium, iron and zinc. They are the elements that make up the Earth and everything on it, including you & me.


Why do we need minerals?

I am in awe at the human body. We are designed to need the things on this Earth to function optimally. Chemical and electrical processes are occurring within your body at every moment. These processes can only function correctly if the balance of minerals is continually being supplied to your system. Without them sickness occurs.

Some of these processors include building and maintaining bone strength & promoting healthy teeth, skin, nails & hair. Minerals are also essential to help develop muscle and are crucial in regulating metabolic processes such as those that turn food into energy.

Put simply if you do not have adequate or are deficient in essential minerals it is going to be an uphill battle losing fat.

Your metabolism will be slower; your cortisol levels higher & gut health will ultimately be affected as you are not breaking down and using food for energy. 

Why do we need to supplement with minerals?

Like everything else in life we want everything to be quick, cheap and easy. Buying several different food sources (which should be organic in most cases) just to hit our daily mineral quota is not always sustainable & gets expensive. Our lifestyle can also deplete minerals. Overindulgence in coffee, stress, lack of sleep, alcohol, dehydration and even training robs the body of essential nutrients.

Research also suggests farming methods are depleting natural resources of minerals, meaning that the food we eat may not be as mineral rich as our body needs. We simply don’t have the minerals in the soils anymore so as a result we need to supplement.

We need a simple, easy solution daily to make sure our bodies mineral needs are being meet.
